Candidates are required to work closely with experienced individuals and provide:
- Management of the projects and technical group and its operations
- Workshop and road techs
- Leadership and management of the teams to ensure performance reports in tech areas
- All operations administration
Requirements:
- Great communication skills - English, Zulu, Afrikaans, other
- Telephone skills
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience at the Operations Management level within a technical, electrical, mechanics, or manufacturing company
- Proven management track record with references
- Valid driver’s license
- Diploma or Degree in Production Management, Operations Management, or electrical or Mechanic systems
Responsibilities:
- Assessing tech reports for a new processing job
- Customer communication regarding updates
- Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
- Determining quality control standards
- Overseeing workflow processes
- Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary
- Organising the repair and routine maintenance of equipment
- Liaising with buyers and marketing and sales staff
- Supervising and managing the work of staff
- Organising relevant training sessions
- Ensuring accurate reporting for flow and invoicing purposes
- Maintaining management of control systems
- Setting and agreeing on targets with Management
- Facilitating the development and maintenance of the operations process
- Maintaining a balanced service to cost and profitability ratio through evaluating, analysing, and managing performance, variations, escalations, special requests, projects, and network optimisation
- Quality assurance of service delivery including identifying and creating solutions to resolve service delivery failures and exceptions
- Ensuring workplace health, safety, and security requirements
- Producing accurate monthly operational reports
- Undertaking department and staff performance reviews
- Building value-based relationships with relevant customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
