The core responsibilities of the position include:
Organizational development
- Lead and manage organisational, cultural, and behavioural change programs, ensuring the OD and HC teams follow best practices.
- Conduct research and integrate corporate priorities into HC programs, demonstrating a great understanding of changes in worker demographics and future skills, and their impact on the business.
- Monitor and analyse employee engagement levels and develop appropriate interventions.
Strategic workforce management
- Create and disseminate analytical insights and reports that are accessible and meaningful, informing organisational strategy and delivery.
- In collaboration with the Human Capital Excellence manager, ensure that internal promotions and mobility, and external recruitment initiatives are in alignment with strategic workforce plans.
- Formulate a strategic workforce plan including development and administration of job profiles that align skills and behavioral competencies required to develop organizational capabilities.
Change and talent management
- Continuously review talent management programs to ensure the retention of high performers, leadership capacity, and establish career paths.
- Contribute significantly to the development and monitoring of employee performance through quarterly and annual performance reviews and reporting on the primary obstacles and successes.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate change management strategies and suitable tools to foster a dynamic and high-performing culture.
Effectiveness and Improvement
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation to maximize individual, team, and organisational effectiveness through a wide range of interventions.
- Ensure that HC and OD initiatives are effectively contributing to the organization's priorities by developing, assessing, and evaluating meaningful performance indicators.
- Develop and implement assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of learning strategies and their impact on desired business outcomes.
Leadership and Governance
- Work in partnership with other stakeholders on continuous improvement projects such as changes to working practices and continuous improvement programmes.
- In collaboration with Human Capital Executive, draft and update governance documents, including preparation of Board documents, sustainability reports, and strategic HC initiatives.
- Work as part of the HC executive team and lead the Organisational Development team to ensure their performance is professional, and their work is accurate and in accordance with accepted best practices.
Requirements for the position may include:
- Post Graduation qualification preferably at master’s level (NQF 8) in HR or Organisational Development or related studies; however, candidates with required experience and studying towards a Master's qualification are also encouraged to apply.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 3 years in a senior management capacity in a highly competitive and dynamic environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset, leveraging feedback and data-driven insights to enhance learning outcomes.
- Experience of working with diverse service providers and building learning solutions across multiple learning techniques.
