- Develop policy and procedure in assigned areas, including briefings, commissioning, business, or resources.
- Propose, draft, implement, and interpret changes to policies, guidelines, and service level agreements.
- Suggest changes and make recommendations for the delivery of various projects.
- Develop policy and service development for the service based on Public Health research and collaboration with the health and care system and local health authorities.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects and initiatives, meeting quality standards and staying within budget, with adjustments as needed.
- Oversee strategic planning for Directorate projects, identifying interdependencies, assessing potential impacts on the wider organisation, determining resource needs, and building in contingency plans.
- Lead the development of performance and governance strategies and implement improvement programs.
- Develop short, medium, and long-term business plans to achieve quality outcomes.
- Formulate long-term strategic plans for the recommissioning or decommissioning of the service based on a health review.
