Our client, dedicated to delivering exceptional products to prestigious retail partners, is looking for a meticulous and passionate Quality Assurance Manager, committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and driving continuous improvement to join their team.
As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive quality assurance system, ensuring zero tolerance for non-conformances, including customer complaints, quality defects, and resource waste. This role requires proactive leadership to ensure the products meet the highest standards from raw material intake through to final product release. You will work closely with various departments to integrate quality systems across the organization, ensuring continuous improvement and audit readiness at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
Valid driver's license and own vehicle
A degree in Food Sciences or a related discipline.
2 – 3 years of proven experience in quality assurance supervision or a related role, ideally within the food industry.
Expertise in quality management systems and risk assessments
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and product quality assurance
Proficient in Excel and able to analyze data and trends
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee a robust quality management system that ensures zero tolerance for customer complaints, quality defects, and resource waste throughout the entire production cycle—from raw material intake to final product release.
Integrate quality assurance procedures across all departments, ensuring alignment with existing systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory standards.
Manage the sustainable resolution of non-conformances by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Develop and maintain HACCP, VACCP, and TACCP plans, aligning them with FSSC standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Lead internal audits and ensure factories are always audit-ready.
Monitor and report on quality performance metrics, including customer complaints, product rejections, and internal quality alerts.
Communicate trends and quality improvements to internal teams, management, and relevant external parties.
Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and standards, ensuring these are implemented within the company.
Lead quality assurance initiatives for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions.
Conduct risk assessments and provide technical support during the planning and execution of trials.
Continuously update HACCP, VACCP, and TACCP plans to reflect process and product improvements.
Reduce duplication and enhance efficiency by streamlining quality and food safety systems across departments.
Set clear departmental goals aligned with company priorities and monitor progress toward these targets.
Mentor and guide team members, fostering professional growth and ensuring continuous improvement in their skills.
Identify high-potential employees and develop career growth paths for them.
Manage employee relations and conflict resolution, creating a positive and productive work environment.
Serve as the primary technical and quality assurance contact for the organization.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, service providers, and suppliers, responding to inquiries and addressing concerns within 48 hours.
Represent the company during site visits, audits, and walk-throughs, ensuring positive interactions and showcasing the company's commitment to quality.
