Person Specification for Applications Engineer: Instrumentation - Recently Qualified Instrument Engineer / Technician preferable
- Qualification in instrumentation and or mechanical engineering with specific attention to Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics and Hydraulics will be advantageous
- Able to present to an audience
- Must have knowledge and understanding of process control / control loops and primary instrumentation principles.
- Must have basic experience with control protocols such as Profibus / HART / MODBUS.
- Computer skills and numerical skills a pre-requisite.
- Must be a self-starter (go getter).
- Be a good-natured presentable person that communicates easily.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Must have valid drivers license.
- Must have own reliable vehicle.
- Will be required to support branches and their clients nationwide.
Duties - Maintaining agencies within Instrumentation relating to level, pressure and temperature, taking responsibility for full scope of marketing and implementing the business strategy given by the GM to ensure growth in their competitive market
- Handling of incoming enquiries from branches or customers, supporting the business
- Structuring of Engineered Quotations to meet customer specifications.
- Calling on Branches to support Instrumentation sales and ensure staff are sufficiently informed and prepared to promote their products.
- Plan and organize daily activities related to Customer Appointments, Promotions and Stock control.
- Reporting such visits in detail including market activity, prospective applications & sales.
- Assisting External Sales with quotations where necessary.
- Assisting with stock management.
- Carry out minor repairs / preparation of instruments in workshop as and when required.
