A cutting-edge technology company currently undertaking a digital transformation is looking for talented SQL Developer.
Duties and responsibilities include Integration of new sources of data into company databases so that it can also be analyzed and included in relevant processes and reports. Integration of data into relevant workflow processes, with the specific aim of continuous improvement and data optimization. Work with all levels of development from analysis through implementation and support. Develop and test issues aligned to specifications
Experience needed:
- Undergraduate degree with majors in Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar.
- 3 years work experience in a business intelligence role
- 3-5 Years experience with relational databases, writing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Experience optimising T-SQL queries.
- Experience of relational data modelling (Normal Form, etc)
- Experience building data pipelines.
- Data visualization and reporting experience.
- Be able to give accurate technical estimates.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with or knowledge of DevOps principles and tools for CI/CD, automation, Git, and Infrastructure.
- Programming experience in Python (Preferred) or another object orientated language, Java (would be a plus), c# (would be a plus)
- Exposure to event streaming technologies, such as Kafka
- Experience with or knowledge of Docker or something similar.
- Experience with or knowledge of K8 (Kubernetes)
- Experience with Avro, Protobuff (serialization, de-serialization)
- Knowledge of SOA / Micro-services
- Knowledge of design patterns & Programming Styles
