Textile Lab Assistant , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence of our textile products. You will be responsible for conducting various tests, analyzing results, and collaborating with a team of experts to enhance our product lines.
This role reports to the TFG Laboratory Manager.
TFG Quality Assurance - GMP
Key Responsibilities:
- Textile testing, interpretation of test methods and the execution thereof.
- Prepare textile samples for various tests, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
- Conduct physical and chemical tests on textiles in line with ISO testing procedures, including but not limited to tensile strength, colorfastness, abrasion resistance, and shrinkage within agreed SLA for all 3 categories (internal, external, and commercial testing).
- Data recording: Accurately record test results and observations in our Laboratory Management System.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to standard operating procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Work closely with the laboratory team and other departments to support research projects and product development initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A National Senior Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience in a textile testing laboratory will be advantageous.
Skills:
- Ability to interpret test methods.
- Numerical skills.
- Organizational and record-keeping skills are exemplary, setting a high standard.
- MS proficiency.
