Skills and Experience: Grade 12 required. NQF Level 7 in Finance or Banking essential (CIMA or Credit Management degree advantageous). 2-5 years in credit management, preferably in commercial finance. Proven experience leading teams in a collaborative, high-performance environment. Key Responsibilities: Credit Model Development & Enhancement: Lead and refine credit models, scorecards, and analytics tools in line with best practices. Integrate data analytics to optimize credit decisioning, ensuring regulatory compliance. Credit Automation & Decisioning: Spearhead automation initiatives for efficient credit evaluations. Approve credit applications within mandate levels, ensuring quality assets and responsible lending practices. Risk Management: Oversee risk in client portfolios, conducting thorough assessments to ensure asset quality. Monitor credit performance and adjust risk parameters as needed. Client-Centric Solutions: Anticipate client needs, providing proactive credit solutions that align with their financial goals. Foster strong client relationships, ensuring effective solutions within agreed turnaround times. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales, Credit Committee, Finance, and Operations to enhance model performance and compliance. Reporting & Analytics: Maintain and analyze reports on credit performance, sharing insights for strategic decision-making. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure adherence to internal and external compliance standards. Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes to refine strategies. Team Leadership & Development: Mentor junior analysts, fostering growth and continuous improvement. Provide training to enhance high-quality credit assessment capabilities.
