Key responsibilities: - Draft group Interim and Annual Financial Statements accordingly
- Draft and consolidate Management Accounts
- Manage the accounting team
- International and local tax planning for the group
- Attend to tax ombudsman queries
- Liaise with SARS (VAT, PAYE and Income tax)
- Statutory compliance with all relevant regulatory boards
- Staff training if and when required
- Systems design and implementation for accounting division
- Trust and company management
- Group Reporting
- Submit tax returns, management accounts
- VAT submissions and management thereof
- Monthly reconciliations and performance stats
- Review monthly financial results with management
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize the companys financial performance
- Establish key financial strategies to enhance business profitability
- Identify risks and cost savings
- Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals to ensure accuracy and financial reporting
- Collaborate with operational teams to analyze costs, budget variances and financial risks
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards
- Providing executive management advice on all financial activities and the implications for the Group.
- Setting of financial KPIs for the department
- Ensuring that financial records are maintained and compliant with accepted policies and procedures.
- Establishing and monitoring the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures in the Group
- Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Ensuring accurate and appropriate recording of financial records
- Maintain professional banking relationships

Job Specification: - BCom accounting degree or any other relevant qualification
- CA (SA)
- Fintech industry experience advantageous
- Xero experience advantageous
- IFRS and GAAP knowledge
- Multicurrency experience advantageous
- International tax knowledge
- Trust / Complex group structure reporting
- Consolidations experience
- Microsoft Office
- Ability to work on multiple companies
- Expertise in SA
- Expertise on foreign company tax advantageous
- Minimum 5 years' experience
