This position is site spesific for the duration of the project.
The following:
Formal Education: Degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering
Experience: Minimum 10-15 years relevant experience (Sanral project experience critical)
Registration:
- Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech with the Engineering Council of SA (ECSA) or any other body recognized by ECSA, i.e. Washington Accord, Dublin Accord, Sydney Accord. Persons with permanent South African residence longer than 5 years shall be ECSA registered.
- Experience with COTO (COLTO) and FIDIC suite of documents.
will enable you to do the following duties:
- Overall site management;
- Decision making on site;
- Monitoring and assess progress;
- Monitoring of the Construction Works in accordance with the Project Specifications, COTO and FIDIC;
- Liaison with Engineer, Contractor and public on all matters pertaining to the contract;
- Auditing Contractors compliance to Contract Participation Goals;
- Auditing Site safety measures: Supervisory staff and Contractor;
- Attend to Site and Technical meetings and preparing minutes;
- Attend and minute work schedule meetings with Contractor;
- Verify Site and Technical Minutes;
- Maintenance of daily site diary;
- Monitor and assess survey data;
- Verification of quality control;
- Verification of monthly payment certificates;
- Handling of variation orders;
- Preparing budgets and cashflows;
- Preparing Works Authorisations;
- Programme and expenditure control;
- Preparing and issuing of site instructions and site memorandums;
- Maintaining equanimity amongst site staff;
- Compiling and submit Contract Report;
- Attend to the requirement for adjudication of Claims and settling of disputes;
- Attend to meetings with Community structures such as Public Liaison Committees;
- Oversee the Site Laboratory;
- Monitor Environmental compliance;
- Any other reasonable request.
