Job Description: Design heavy machinery and components using 3D CAD and 2D schematic software Develop electrical systems, including 3D wiring designs in Siemens NX and create 2D harness drawings and schematics Integrate electrical components into designs Evaluate project scope and manage timelines effectively Prepare bills of materials and corresponding 3D assemblies using Unigraphics NX Manage product data by entering designs and related information into PDM software (Team Center) Ensure all designs comply with supplier and regulatory requirements Focus on cost savings, ease of installation, and serviceability in design Conduct concept and design reviews Collaborate with suppliers on design specifications Assess results against customer requirements and design standards Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and teams Skills & Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an electrical design engineering role Automotive OEM design experience is a plus Proficient in 3D CAD, with Siemens NX experience preferred Familiarity with schematic design using Mentor Graphics Vesys is an advantage Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Exceptional attention to detail and strong verbal/written communication skills Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing priorities Effective problem-solving skills with integrity and honesty Strong work ethic, professionalism, and a willingness to go the extra mile Capable of working independently and excellent at task management A collaborative team player who works well with others Qualification: BEng or BTech degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
