The role
As a Principal Security Specialist you are at the forefront of safeguarding the Phoenix Groups critical assets, with a particular emphasis on Identity and Access management. Your expertise lies in implementing robust security measures, identifying risks and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The successful candidates will be responsible for securing new technologies across Phoenix including the delivery of our security enhancement programme. They will also undertake ongoing industry and threat analysis, utilising internal and external resources to identify and resolve security risks to Phoenix.
The role holder will also be expected to:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure systems, networks and applications
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats
- Lead incident response efforts during security breaches
- Coordinate and participate in security audits and implement necessary changes to address findings
- Support the development and compliance of security policies, standards, procedures and industry regulations
What are we looking for?
- Proficiency in endpoint security, network security, identity management and data security
- Familiarity of securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Oracle)
- Ability to lead security initiative and collaborate with stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex security concepts to non-specialists
- Recognised security certification (CISSP, CISM, CEH)
