ELECTRO MECH Senior Business Development Specialist BBI

The company requires dedicated Business Development Specialist
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• 5 to 10 years’ experience as a Senior Business Development (EPC) in an Electro-Mechanical contracting environment (Engineering, Procurement and Construction)
• A Mechanical/Electrical Degree will be an added advantage.
• Basic familiarity with the Electro-Mechanical contracting industry,
• Ability to work collaboratively with other divisions and across geographic regions.
• Capable of making sound strategic and operational decisions through analyzing data, focusing on customers, and commercial awareness.
• Willingness to embrace culture change aimed at improved business and team performance.
• Fluent in English, French would be a plus.
• Ability to travel frequently across Southern Africa countries.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Developer will:
•
Successfully collect and analyze market information.
•
Review and analyze market opportunities and develop recommendations.
•
Successfully assess new opportunities based on his/her thorough understanding of the Electro-Mechanical contracting industry; to be able to quickly identify attractive opportunities and decline unattractive ones
•
Develop long-term valued relationships with clients in the Electro-Mechanical contracting industry in the Southern Africa region.
•
Generate new business opportunities via networking, cold calling, responding to inbound leads, attending industry events, and responding to RFPs
•
Map competitors and develop a global understanding of international competition.
•
Prepare and keep up to date with marketing material towards customers.
•
Be responsible for driving Electromechanical contracting sales to a variety of different public or private companies including government entities, commercial businesses, mobile network operators and other large Data Centres operators.
• Execute attractive growth opportunities, including bid management, and negotiating with commercial counterparties, government entities, and other stakeholders on projects/transactions.
• Animate the strategy for Business Line Customers Solutions in South Africa
• Engage with global stakeholders.
• Represent business in local and international market-specific shows or meetings.
• Impact business strategy in terms of new business offers that develop top-line revenues.
• Support local teams for bid preparation and submission.
• Build reference technical and economical offers.
• Build reference databases of costs, suppliers and contractors.
