Key Duties and Responsibilities include: Windows Server and Desktop Management Oversee the management and maintenance of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services. Oversee the deployment, configuration, and support of Windows desktop systems across the organisation. Work with our MSP and other vendors, to monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources to ensure high availability and reliability Project and Vendor Management To be an advocate for change within the organisation, joining project teams and acting as a stakeholder for technology. To act as first point of contact with vendors and partners in technology specific projects. To ensure value for money and good return on investment when negotiating contracts or procurement on behalf of the company Salesforce Management & Administration To manage end user access to our production and test Salesforce environments To develop competence with Salesforce Interface changes: new fields, custom objects, data extraction and imports. Define and build salesforce reports. Vulnerability Management Conduct regular vulnerability assessments on IT systems, applications, and network infrastructure. Implement and maintain security patches, updates, and configurations in line with best practices. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enforce security policies and procedures. Backup and Disaster Recovery Help to develop, implement, and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and system availability. Regularly test and update disaster recovery plans to align with business continuity requirements. Documentation and Reporting Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate reports on system performance, security status, and compliance for IT management. Maintain an accurate asset register of hardware, software and certificates. User Support and Training Provide 1st and 2nd level support to end-users for escalated IT issues when required. Conduct training sessions and create user guides to enhance user proficiency with IT systems. Competencies required include: 5 years of experience in a technology role, ideally within the financial services sector. The ability to define and develop policies and the procedures to support them both for technology and ancillary functions, e.g. Password policy, Joiner/Mover/Leaver policy, RBAC. Understanding of Microsoft Intune for device and policy management. Experience in vulnerability management and security best practices. The ability to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and key vendors. Strong communicator at all levels, verbal and written. Familiarity with backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and execution. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Ideally relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security The ideal candidate will have a background in IT Management within the financial services industry and have a good understanding of working within regulated jurisdictions, latest cyber security developments and a proven track record of vendor management and procurement. As part of a small team there will also be a requirement to be hands-on, supporting business colleagues and helping to manage endpoints and other infrastructure.
