Our client is looking for a Procurement Coordinator (Commodities) to join their team in the Northern Cape. Experience within Animal Feed industry will be beneficial.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- In co-operation with procurement manager coordinate the:
- Volumes available on a weekly basis at farms for loading
- Doing quality checks, sampling and grading of available stock
- Sort and prepare stock for loading
- Communicate with the transport department to arrange vehicles for loading
- Communicate with the farm on loading dates & times
- Ensure all feed is loaded as planned
- Oversee loading of vehicles
- Ensure all administration related to quality control and loading of vehicles is accurately and timeously completed, including but not limited to:
- Taking photos of loading process
- Quality control certificates
- Loaded weight certificates
- Timely communication if product is not available or according to specification
- Quality assurance on farms and at loading points
- Testing and sampling of product available to load to confirm quality requirements
- Management of quality standards by instruction and training on farm level
REQUIREMENTS
- Adequate secondary qualification
- Experience in procurement and purchasing of lucerne and other animal feed products
- Experience in quality control and loading processes for lucerne and other animal feed products
- Computer literate with good reporting skills
- Available to travel between farms where quality control and loading is required
- Based in the Northern Cape (Douglas, Kimberley, Hartswater)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team
- Easily adaptable
