The Junior Draughtsman (Mechanical/Agriculture) will be responsible for preparing detailed design drawings and plans for mechanical and mining-related projects using CAD software such as Revit and AutoCAD The role involves working closely with engineers to translate concepts into technical drawings and ensuring design accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and manufacturability. Key Responsibilities : Create detailed mechanical and mining drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit Work with engineers and project managers to develop designs for machinery, tools, and equipment specific to mining and mechanical industries. Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements. Generate BOMs (Bill of Materials) for project use. Ensure drawings adhere to relevant standards and regulations in the mining and mechanical sectors. Collaborate with production teams and suppliers to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective. Maintain a library of all project documentation and drawings for easy access and reference. Conduct site visits to gather design requirements and validate existing systems, when necessary. Own Vehicle and Drivers License Qualifications : Matric proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mechanical and mining drafting/design. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and materials. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to mining and mechanical engineering.
