We're looking for a professional and driven individual to take on the role of Bookkeeper to join a dedicated accounts team in the heart of Huddersfield! In this role you will have the opportunity to grow and develop around experienced individuals and utilise their training programme to progress your career!
You will be expected to ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial tasks in accordance with the firm's policies and the SRA Accounts Rules, provide an effective, responsive, and approachable finance service to the wider business.
Day to day you will be required to maintain accurate and timely accounting records, ensure compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules, reconcile bank accounts on a daily and monthly basis, verify and process conveyancing completions, liaise with colleagues and external suppliers/contacts to resolve queries and do routine administrative tasks and any other duties that are deemed reasonable and appropriate by the Head of Finance.
If this like a role that would suit you, you would need the following to be considered.
- Experience in a legal setting is highly preffered
- Previous experience of working within a law firm accounts team.
- Knowledge and experience of SRA Accounts Rules would be preferred.
- Proven IT skills, in particular experience of using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience of using a specialist accounting system (with experience of P4W/TFB would be preferred).
- Numerate, accurate, organised and methodical.
- Able to handle sensitive information in a confidential and discreet manner.
- Strong commitment to providing a friendly and helpful service and positively contributing to the culture of the firm.
- Have a professional approach to your day-to-day work life.
- Strong phone etiquette and excellent communication skills.

- 23,000 - 24,000
- Part time 20 hours (afternoons preferred)
- ASAP start date
