Your Tasks
With over 43 million active users and more than 7,000 authentication requests per second, GMX and WEB.DE are among the most widely used email providers in Germany. We leverage cutting-edge technologies, including AI-driven anomaly detection, to protect and secure our customers' identities. As Team Lead for Account Security, you will play a key role in safeguarding our users' data by guiding a specialized team focused on account security within our user management systems.
- Lead and Coach a Dedicated Team: Manage and mentor a specialized team of software developers, data analysts and data scientists. You and your team are working collaboratively to develop and enhance account security systems.
- Drive Account Security Initiatives: Focus on evolving and strengthening user identity protection, making architectural and technological decisions that support secure, high-performing authentication systems.
- Collaborate on System Design and Implementation: Understand technologies including Java and Python, NoSQL databases, and tools like Cassandra, Apache Kafka, and Kubernetes to implement robust account security solutions.
- Own the Full Lifecycle of Security Systems: From planning to deployment, collaborate with Product Management and IT Operations to ensure high availability and resilience, incorporating security patterns, scalability, and observability into the account security architecture.
- Enable Data-Driven Security Enhancements: Collaborate with Data Analysts and Machine Learning experts to set the foundation for continuous improvement and data-driven security insights including anomaly detection.
Your Profile
Do you hold a technical degree or a comparable qualification? Do you have experience in software development, with a strong focus on security?
