SF Recruitment have partnered with an organisation near Cinderford who are looking to recruit a Warehouse Manager on a permanent basis. This is a growing organisation with a great culture, and there is room to grow within this role.
Working hours: 9am-5pm
Salary: £30,000-£36,000
Responsibilities will include:
Following and creating all warehouse processes and procedures complying with Standard Operating Procedures.
Managing all logistical aspects of the warehouse including carrying out regular audits
Overseeing stock control and keeping stock control system up to date and clean.
Setting up and planning allocation of space
Planning future capacity requirements
Involvement in longer term planning for the business alongside the management team
Fulfilling objectives and directions from the operations department and purchasing e.g. setting up responsive systems and processes that can cope with a variance in demand
Liaising with the Customer Services and Customer Relations departments over all matters relating to customers' orders.
Reviewing resources and uncovering any gaps
Responding to and dealing with supplier communication
Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Briefing management team on work priorities on a daily basis
Managing performance of team
Document recording and data entry into system
Ensuring all incoming paperwork is organized and passed on to the Finance office on a daily basis
Temperature monitoring in all storage areas of the Warehouse
Responsible for Health and Safety, hygiene and security within the warehouse
Adapting existing system to increase productivity and improving processes
Reviewing and drafting SOP's and related documents such as process flows.
Other/Yard Duties
Responsible for Health and Safety, hygiene and security within the yard.
Maintaining stock control in the yard and shop floor.
Management of distribution of online shop orders.
Key Competencies of a Warehouse Supervisor/Manager
Proven work experience of managing a warehouse or distribution centre including dealing with a level of product complexity.
Experience of working within a robust HSE compliant environment
Experience of managing team
Experience in writing SOP's
Process change
Well-developed interpersonal skills coupled with an ability to prioritise work
Strong communications skills, both written and oral with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Organised, structured thinker with strong focus on process and procedures
Team player, service orientated, supportive and innovative.
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiative
Ability to work in a busy, demanding environment, whilst adhering to stringent deadlines
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to frequently bend, lift and carry packages/ parcels
Skills
Experience in MRP/ERP Booking and Stock Systems (Sage).
Forklift Truck Licence (essential/licence renewal available).
Scissor Lift License.
