Our client is seeking a dedicated Compliance, Health & Safety Manager to join their expanding team. This national role requires regular travel between the company's six depot locations. Based primarily out of one of their main depots, you will be required to visit all sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
The Compliance, Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety plans across all locations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations by evaluating practices, facilities, and enforcing policies.
You will work closely with site teams to drive improvements and bring about necessary changes. In addition, you will conduct health and safety training sessions, monitor ongoing compliance, and investigate accidents or incidents, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
The role also involves maintaining accurate health and safety records, managing departmental schedules, and overseeing the implementation and compliance of all health and safety and environmental policies. This position requires providing strategic guidance on health and safety matters, centralising and standardising health and safety procedures, and managing the training matrix across the group, including certifications like Forklift/IPAF.
You will be accountable for ensuring safe working environments across all depots and workspaces while managing compliance for health and safety audits, including ISO standards.
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent H&S certifications.
- Lean methodology experience is desirable.
- Proven H&S experience in construction, manufacturing, or engineering.
- Full driving license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong drive and enthusiasm to promote a positive health and safety culture.
