School Finance Officer Norwich Term-time hours
We are seeking a
School Finance Officer to support the Headteacher in managing the school s finances and administrative tasks. This is a vital role for a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and experience in finance administration.
The Role: You ll work closely with the Headteacher on financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring compliance with financial controls. Key responsibilities include managing payroll, handling employee records, recruitment administration, and completing staffing records. You ll also manage the purchase and sales ledger, oversee banking transactions, and monitor contracts and supplier deliveries. This role involves coordinating school finance processes such as dinner money collections, trip accounts, and asset inventory maintenance. You ll attend Governor meetings four times a year and provide support for facilities management and school projects.
What You Need: - Experience: Proven experience in finance or administrative roles, ideally in a school or educational setting.
- Skills: Strong organizational and financial management abilities, excellent attention to detail, and familiarity with accounting and payroll processes.
- Other: A commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children, and the ability to support the school office as needed.
The hours for this role are term-time hours.
