We are looking for an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to ensure our Engineering department provides a high level of service by delivering planned maintenance, service, and reactive repair work for all electro-mechanical equipment. The role involves recommending and implementing improvements to enhance production efficiency and reliability.
Day to Day of the role:
- Adhere to health and safety standards in all activities and promote safe working practice.
- Deliver periodic and condition-based preventative maintenance schedules for all electro-mechanical equipment to maintain high levels of reliability and maximise efficiency.
- Conduct 1st Level reactive service and repair work, diagnosing issues promptly and efficiently, utilising OEM/third party support where required.
- Work with operations teams to offer engineering expertise in the design and delivery of improvements for electro-mechanical equipment.
- Undertake risk assessments for all electro-mechanical equipment in liaison with the Engineering Manager.
- Maintain professional competence, including training and development as appropriate.
- Ensure procedure and maintenance records are maintained and audit technical support documentation for accuracy and availability.
- Catalogue and audit technical spares and consumables, making recommendations and undertaking spares ordering as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Understanding of PLC programming logic.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematic drawings.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Electrical and Mechanical aptitude, with knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits and controls.
- Experience with installation and support of PLC systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy, encompassing current MS Office Applications.
- Experience in high-quality and high-volume environments, with secure and safe systems of working (highly desirable).
- Experience with CMMS systems (desirable).
