Our client, a manufacturing organisation, is seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join their dynamic Slough Quality team. Responsibilities:
Lead by example and prioritise safety in the workplace.
Maintain and enforce quality standards throughout the shift, taking prompt action in case of non-conformities.
Conduct testing of product samples according to approved methods and using designated equipment.
Accurately enter data, generate customer certificates of analysis, and produce reports.
Provide basic training to colleagues on topics related to Quality and Product Safety.
Be available to cover the organisation's 3 shift patterns, ensuring quality is consistently maintained
Reports to the Leader of European Quality and Environmental as well as the Manager of UK Laboratory and Materials.
Collaborates closely with Quality Technicians, Factory Supervision and Operators, and the Technical Team.
This position has no direct reports.
Benefits
Salary is 15.30 - 16.63 per hour including shift allowance
31,227.56 - 33,941.96 depending on experience
Rotating 3 shift pattern, Shift pattern 5.45- 14.05, 13.45 - 22.05, 21.45 - 06.05 (39.25 hours)
25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata for 2024)
Onsite carparking.
Qualifications:
Possess GCSE passes (Level 5 and above) in English and Mathematics.
Previous experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or scientific setting is preferred.
Essential Skills and Characteristics:
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficient in basic word processing, email, and other relevant computer applications.
Capable of making sound decisions and knowing when to involve colleagues.
Demonstrates knowledge of correct standards (based on BRCGS Packaging and ISO9001:2015).
Skilled in conducting investigations, gathering information, and problem-solving at a basic level.
