You can expect to become involved in: Local authority + national government frameworks Projects within the commercial, energy, infrastructure, and justice sectors amongst others Your core duties will include: Preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities, contract documents and reports. Building on existing client relationships and ensuring commissions are delivered on time. Leading the bid process and undertaking some aspects of business development. Resourcing own jobs, undertaking team supervision and monitoring internal costs. Controlling day to day programming and planning. Supporting junior colleagues on a day-to-day basis. Participating in Design Team meetings, reporting on and giving advice on cost control matters. Carrying out quality checks on work produced by colleagues. In order to be considered for this role, you must: Have achieved Chartership Have significant relevant experience within Cost Management in a consultancy environment. Be proficient in managing projects across the built environment, conducting feasibility studies, detailed cost planning and have both pre and post contract experience. Have thorough understanding of the principal standard forms of Building Contracts including JCT and NEC3 Have experience liaising directly with clients. Have ability to control day to day programming and planning. Have excellent client communication skills, report writing skills, presentation skills at project level. In order to stand out from the crowd, it is desirable for you: To be undertaking regular CPD activities. To have a strong track record of work and longevity within a previous role/s. To have experience line managing and supporting other members of the team. To have an interest and/or experience in business development activities.
