This position is ideal for candidates with extensive experience in quantity surveying and project management, looking to take the next step in their careers. Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of quantity surveying from the initial project stage through to completion. Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender documentation. Evaluate bids, negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes. Monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure adherence. Provide expert advice on procurement and contractual matters. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders. Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies. Prepare and present detailed financial reports to management and clients. Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors and support staff. Requirements BSc or BTech in Quantity Surveying or related field. Registration as a Professional Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP. A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with at least 5 years in a senior role. Extensive knowledge of construction contracts and procurement methods. Strong leadership and mentoring capability. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in software such as CCS Candy and MS Project. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Fluent in English; additional languages would be an advantage.
