Team Manager International Markets Hybrid Energy & Battery Storage
We are a dynamic and successful group within ABO Energy, which is committed to the optimal integration of renewable energies through storage systems. In our international markets we develop battery storage and hybrid energy projects from pilots to megawatt scale. We are looking for a Team Manager to shape our long-term strategy in current international markets of interest for our Abo Energy division as well as building go-to-market strategies for emerging battery storage and hybrid energy markets. This role leads an international team and acts in coordination with internal stakeholders orchestrating the development and execution process and supporting local Project Developers and Project Managers during development and execution phases of Battery Storage and Hybrid projects. Together with your team you will play a pivotal role in our mission to accelerate sustainable energy solutions for a future worth living for future generations.
- Personally lead, develop, coordinate and grow a team of skilled and highly competent project managers in international battery storage markets, taking care of the personal development of each team member as well as identifying opportunities to optimize processes and increase efficiency
- Further progress with your team the existing pipeline of projects in existing international markets in coordination with the local Project development team and other internal stakeholders and continue acquiring, identifying project ideas and prioritizing through due diligence battery storage project and hybrid opportunities
- Manage the prioritization of international battery storage markets based on deep market and business case analyses while working closely with bodies to understand regulatory changes that could affect ABO's development and market participation and derive strategic recommendations connected to the business strategy
- Support the creation and improvement of development and project management tools, processes and standard operating procedures and share lessons learned in an international and interdisciplinary team
- Run team meetings, steer priorities, remove roadblocks and ensure a strong collaboration with all internal and external project stakeholders
- You feel comfortable to be the point of escalation of project risks and matters within your team
- Structure and prepare analysis and materials, project pipeline updates and other reporting requests for senior management on a timely basis as needed
- 5+ years experience and deep understanding of ‘greenfield' development process for renewables and/or Battery storage projects
- Academic degree in engineering or sciences (e.g., physics) disciplines. Additional qualification in business (e.g., an MBA) is a plus but no necessity
- You already have experience in managing a team and care about clear leadership and vision, inspiring and motivating staff to achieve excellence by strength-based approaches and mentor them as they develop new skills
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams with high-level assertiveness in an international environment and to effectively communicate internally & externally
- Highly structured thinking and strong analytical skills and ability to make strategic recommendations to management
- Exceptional project management skill set. Project management certification is a plus but no necessity
- Business fluent in English
