The successful candidate will report to the Cellar Master All aspects of quality wine grape growing Soil management Pruning Establishment of new vineyards Pest and weed control Canopy management Irrigation Harvesting Management and development of personnel to improve productivity Record keeping and production reports Quality management i.e. compliance with IPW, WIETA and Fairtrade accreditations Management of grape production budget and operating costs in collaboration with management Management of off site vineyards under contract and communication with growers, to optimize quality All other functions and duties related to the position. Relevant tertiary qualification Approximately 3-5 years' experience in a similar management position Good knowledge of farm equipment and mechanical skills Knowledge of relevant quality control systems Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans & English) Strong computer proficiency (MS Office, EzyWine)
