REQUIREMENTS
Adequate tertiary qualification
Experience in logistics and supply chain management
Proven record of successfully building and managing relationships with logistics service providers
Management experience
Computer literate
Strong negotiation skills
Understanding of management and reporting systems
Available to travel
Based in Wellington, Western Cape

JOB DESCRIPTION
In co-operation with management, the sales team and area / procurement managers, execute and manage the logistics from the farms to end clients.
Appoint, negotiate, agree SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and oversee operations with:
- Transport service providers
- Warehouse service providers
- Clearing agents
- Port service providers
- Shipping lines & freight forwarders
Ensure timely and effective communication between all internal and external stakeholders
Build and maintain relationships with service providers
Reporting on all logistics activities and costs
Meeting logistics KPIs
Ensure all administration related to logistics service providers is accurately and timeously completed.
Regular visits to service providers and operational sites.
