Our client is the leading supplier of controlled environment agriculture (CEA) solutions in southern Africa and they are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join their team in Isando, Johannesburg.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Certificate, diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum NQF Level 3).
- Three-phase Wireman's license.
- Experience with control systems PLCs, VFDs, etc.
- More than 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
- Valid drivers license.
- Willing to travel within South Africa and Africa.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, maintain & repair electrical and automation systems for greenhouse projects.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues and ensure. optimal system performance.
- Commission, calibrate and test new systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all work performed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, safety standards and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with other engineers and project managers to resolve issues efficiently.
