We are looking for a Bilingual Virtual Medical Receptionist for an eyecare practice. Eyecare industry experience is required and the qualified candidate must be fluent in English and French. As the front-line employee, your role will be extremely important for maintaining or improving patient experience and satisfaction. Your goal should always be to make patients comfortable and well-informed. As a Virtual Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for various receptionist and clerical duties for the optical practice.
Job duties and responsibilities
- Answer all incoming calls and schedule appointments, redirect the calls, or keep messages
- Answer all the customers' questions and address their complaints
- Gather required information from patients and medical insurance providers
- Verify medical insurance benefits and submit insurance claims
- Prepare and manage outgoing mail
- Check, sort, and forward emails
- Place supply orders when necessary
- Monitor and update records and files
- Provide general administrative support for the practice
Job requirements and qualifications
- Fluency in English and French
- Experience and knowledge with medical insurance verification and submission of claims is a plus
- Knowledge of common online systems such as Gsuite, MS Office (especially Excel and Word), etc.
- High School diploma
- Additional qualifications will be a plus
