Are you a legal professional looking to advance your career in the financial services industry? Our client, a leading Level 1 BBBEE Intermediary, is seeking a talented Legal Manager to join their team. In this pivotal role within their Business Enablement Department, you'll report directly to the CFO with a direct line to the CEO. As a Legal Manager, you'll play a crucial role in shaping strategic development while providing expert legal guidance across various business operations.
Key Responsibilities: - Drafting and vetting legal documentation
- Providing strategic legal advice on transactions and structuring
- Managing contractual claims, disputes, and litigation
- Identifying legal risks and formulating mitigation strategies
- Staying abreast of legislative changes and case law
- Engaging with internal and external legal resources
- Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations
Key Requirements: - B-degree in Law or LLB; admitted attorney or advocate
- Minimum 5 years post-articles experience, with 1 year in-house in financial services
- General corporate commercial background
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
