PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and operational needs. Document requirements, define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies. Coordinate with departmental heads, executives, and other stakeholders to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and improve operational effectiveness. Lead the projects, in collaboration with the third party Service Provider team members to implement the requirements, migrate the data and optimise the solution to meet the business and operational needs.
Note, while this role is focused on adoption of third party solutions, the role may be required, to assist the Business Analyst within the Software Development team or deliver business analyst functions for in-house development.
MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Business Analysis
- Investigation, analysis and documentation of a business area in terms of business functions and processes, and the information they use across applications.
- Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement and developing and implementing solutions.
- Impact analysis to identify all affected interfaces (new systems or change to existing systems)
- Documents the underlying business architecture
- Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimising strategies.
- Construct workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications
- Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications
- Recommend controls by identifying problems and developing improved procedures.
- Document and define data migration requirements and strategy.
- Ensure compliance to Data Policy.
- Acts as a bridge between the business and the third party team or Teraco software development team
- Conducts feasibility studies, business cases, risk assessments, prototypes and creates functional requirements for new applications and major changes to existing applications
Project Management
- Define project requirements by managing project milestones, forming project teams, and establishing project budgets. This is a collaborative effort with the third party Service Provider team.
- Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions
- Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
- Report on project progress and adoption.
- Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models
- Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes
- Manage scope and manage scope creep.
- Manage the relationship and co-ordination with the third party Service Provider team.
Solution Adoption
- Documentation of Test Plans and coordination of testing effort.
- Define and perform UAT testing, in collaboration with operational users and stakeholders.
- Ensure data migration is performed as per the requirements, and validate quality of the migration.
- Assist business / operational users in compiling the required procedure and process document for operational functions, and validate their accuracy as part of the UAT process.
- Conduct user training for the adoption of the third party solution.
- Quality assurance
- Ensure that the implemented solution meets the business requirements, as documented.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience (minimum 5 years)
- Work experience in SaaS or on-prem Enterprise solution adoption, and implementation preferred
- Microsoft Access and/or SQL experience strongly preferred
- Familiar with relational database concepts and client-server concepts.
- Knowledge of data policies and experience in data migration.
