Senior Account Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our growing team in Cape Town, South Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing both new and existing client relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This individual will play a pivotal role in establishing our presence in Cape Town and contributing to the success of our business.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive and convert inbound sales leads, demonstrating excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with new and existing clients, with a focus on expanding the customer base.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality products.
- Resolve issues promptly and ensure customer satisfaction when orders encounter problems.
- Respond promptly to inbound leads and inquiries, providing expert guidance on promotional product selection based on client needs, event requirements, logo specifications, and budget constraints.
- Demonstrate industry expertise by offering valuable insights and recommendations to clients.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to the success of the Cape Town office.
- Train and mentor team members as needed, leveraging knowledge of company systems and processes.
- Uphold high standards of punctuality, professionalism, and trustworthiness in all interactions.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Previous experience in sales or account management, preferably in the promotional gift industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence others.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Familiarity with The Promo Group's systems and processes is highly desirable.
- Willingness to relocate to Cape Town or already residing in the area.
