Short Term Insurance External Sales Representative - CT
Our client, a large national vehicle tracking company, requires an external Insurance Sales Rep who is knowledgeable of short term insurance sales (particularly in the broker industry) to promote the Company to the Insurance Industry and to meet sales targets in the Western Cape region. The objective is to provide a high level of visibility and support in order to increase installation volumes from this distribution channel.
Minimum requirements:
• Matric
• Minimum 5 years’ external F2F sales experience in the short term insurance industry
• Knowledge of working with the short-term insurance broker industry advantageous
• Experience in dealing with brokers/underwriters/insurers or selling short term insurance to the public in external sales capacity.
• A Short-Term Insurance qualification would be advantageous.
• MS-Office proficiency.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Valid Driver’s Licence.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be a self-starter.
Responsibilities:
• Achieve set monthly and yearly targets
• Identify new business opportunities for the Company
• Implement and manage incentive programmes/marketing opportunities.
• Promote the Company to the Insurance Industry.
• Provide on-going product information to a portfolio of brokers/administrators/underwriters.
• Regular training to Insurance Intermediary staff on all Company products and services.
• Weekly/monthly reports, monitor portfolio performance, track trends within the industry.
