A specialist market research firm, based in Johannesburg, is seeking to employ Junior GIS / Geospatial Analyst on a permanent basis. You will join a specialised spatial research business that undertake Demographic Feasibility Studies, Site Evaluations, Gap Analysis, Customer Data Analysis, Shopping Centre Research, etc.

Focus and duties
- Collect, analyse, interrogate, and interpret data in line with applicable methodologies and standards.
- Work with Senior Associates to build online spatial viewers, dashboards and programmes using GIS software. (Beneficial, but not essential)
- Delivery of assigned projects in line with specific Key Performance Indicator parameters (time, quality, cost, value).
- Report writing (conceptual to final stages), market demand models and Client interaction

- Retail Feasibility Reports.
- ESRI online dashboarding and viewers.
- Online viewers and bespoke software solutions.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Property, Business, GIS or a related field is required.
- At least 1 year of experience working with geo-spatial data layers and customer centric data.
- Research experience in the form of Honours or Masters degree will be acceptable.
- ESRI ArcGIS Online Application knowledge.
- Familiar with BI products, solutions and strategies – experience with PowerBI and Alteryx software platforms will be beneficial, but not essential
- High proficiency with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
- Previous exposure to feasibility studies will be beneficial.
- Statistics, Geo Information Science experience will be highly beneficial.

Salary: R180,000 – R300,000 Cost to Company, based and dependant on skills and experience
