Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to manage 5 stores within a 65km radius of the base location. The individual will be responsible for executing marketing and operations plans, coordinating marketing, administrative, logistics, HR, sales, and operations tasks, and attending to the functionality within the stores.
Location: Candidate will oversee and manage 5 stores within a 65km radius of their home base.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Store Manager in a retail environment.
- Clothing retail experience is essential.
Travel:
- Extensive travel between stores within their area.
- Regular store visits are required.
Reporting Structure:
The Relief Manager will report directly to the respective Area Manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement of a Matric + 5 years’ experience as a Store Manager in a clothing retail environment.
- Driver’s License and the ability to drive.
- Flexibility to travel and work in stores in different towns as per operational requirements.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Asset Management
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of stores.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair services.
- Protect and secure all company assets in the stores.
Stock Control
- Accountable for all stock, including overages and shortages.
- Prepare requisitions to replenish stock as needed.
- Conduct stock takes and manage shrinkage.
- Coordinate the layout of merchandise displays.
Marketing and Sales
- Manage the implementation of marketing promotions to maximize sales.
- Provide sales leadership to staff.
- Achieve and exceed store sales targets.
Administration and Cash
- Ensure adherence to standard administration procedures.
- Manage controllable expenses affecting branch profitability.
Security / Risk
- Manage security procedures and ensure Health & Safety standards are met.
Customer Services
- Train staff in customer service principles.
- Assist customers with inquiries and complaints.
People Management
- Assign employees specific duties and manage performance.
- Ensure compliance with procedures and policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric Certificate.
- NQF 5/6 Certificate or Diploma in Retail/Business Management (advantageous).
- Valid Driver’s License – Code 8 unendorsed.
- 5 years minimum experience as a Branch Manager in a clothing retail environment.
- Flexibility to work in different stores/towns as needed.
Undertaking:
- Criminal / Credit Check.
- Qualification verification.
- Computer and Psychometric assessments where required.
- First Aid / Firefighting training.
