A leading Retailer is looking for a Senior Logistics Engineer to be based at their office in Cape Town.
Responsibilities:
- Initiating and implementing new logistics engineering projects across the supply chain for the group.
- Working cross functionally with the Distribution Centre (DC) Operations and Delivery Team to optimise total logistics cost and delivery lead-time.
- Initiating new logistics projects within the logistics network to reduce labour cost and improve efficiency.
- Reducing material handling & packaging cost through engineering projects within the DC.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B Eng Industrial Engineering qualification.
Minimum Experience:
- High level of proficiency with MS Office packages with proven advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- At least 7-10 years’ experience within Supply Chain, Planning and Logistics Engineering field.
- Simio Fundamentals Training Certificate - or similar simulation software accreditation.
- AutoCAD Fundamentals training certificate - or similar simulation software accreditation.
