We are looking for a creative, brand-oriented product photographer/ videographer who has both strong photography and videography skills. The role is suited to a candidate who thrives working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about content creation, digital media & photography. Responsibilities include liaising with various departments, arranging products, photography, videography and editing. The candidate will be shooting product (80%) and content (20%) that accurately reflects the brand for the Ecommerce platform as well as social media platforms and events.
Based in Johannesburg, South Africa
Photography:
- Liaising with warehouse to deliver any new product that needs to be photographed.
- Plan “shoot days” and “edit days” a month in advance based on shipping/delivery of new products, to ensure products are processed and uploaded to the ecommerce platform timeously.
- Photograph Products for the Ecommerce environment.
- Professionally edit and retouch products, ensuring colour, dimensions and site specifications for each product category is correct.
- Apply knowledge of settings, lighting, camera angles, product placement and the overall composition of products.
- Maintain consistency and high quality of product photographs to ensure the ecommerce site remains appealing to consumers.
- Capture product specifications of each item i.e. Material, Heel height etc.
- Managing archives of photographs.
- Assist marketing team with content creation including Seasonal Campaign product photography for marketing platfroms.
Requirements and skills:
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Proficient in Photoshop, retouching, colour corrections and video editing.
- Excellent & demonstrated photography technical expertise, portfolio required.
- Understanding of ecommerce and digital marketing.
- At least one year of experience within commercial photography.
- Fashion photography experience will be an advantage.
