RPO Recruitment is currently representing a leading manufacturing company in their search for a skilled Raw Materials Buyer. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with experience in the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities.
- Negotiate and enforce contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production team to ensure adequate stock of raw materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement measures to improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Buyer or similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
