We are looking for a General Manager for Industrial Sales in the East Rand
The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, growth, and cultural transformation for the Industrial division. You will also define the future needs of the division to ensure its continued success in a rapidly evolving market.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Commercial B2B vertical, aligning it with the organization's long-term goals and objectives. Develop the Industrial divisions’ strategy to go to market as well as develop the solution offering based on the market needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Continually evolve the offering to establish it as the go-to solution for businesses looking for sustainable and integrated energy management solutions.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify growth opportunities within the energy solutions market and develop strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
- Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the energy solutions market, foster strategic partnerships, and expand the customer base.
- Cultural Change Management: Lead cultural change initiatives, fostering a customer-centric mindset and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Industrial division.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture while providing mentorship and guidance.
- Performance Management: Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Industrial division, ensuring the achievement of revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
- Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Develop and manage budgets, conduct financial analysis, and make informed decisions to optimize resource allocation and maximize profitability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with relevant industry regulations, standards, and certifications, ensuring compliance in all aspects of energy solution development and manufacturing.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Advanced business degree (MBA/MBL) is a plus.
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in a senior management role within manufacturing.
- Product design and development experience with a minimum of 5-6 years in energy and renewables.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office.
- Proficiency in electrical engineering principles.
- Experience in battery technology and energy systems is advantageous.
- Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Deep understanding of battery systems and energy storage solutions, as well as the ability to shift the organization's culture towards customer centricity.
