We re looking for a friendly, motivated, and down-to-earth person to join our growing team.
The right candidate will work alongside our experienced pool and hot tub technicians to learn a variety of hands-on roles, including:
- Installation of Hot Tubs and Swimming Pools: Assisting with the delivery and setup of hot tubs and pool systems, most of which are installed outdoors in gardens.
- Diagnosing and Repairing Equipment Faults: Identifying, troubleshooting, and repairing problems with pumps, heaters, control systems, and plumbing in hot tubs and pools.
- Replacing Parts and Conducting Maintenance: Replacing faulty components such as filters, pumps, jets, and control panels, and performing routine maintenance to ensure systems function properly.
- Technical Support and Client Demonstrations: Providing technical assistance to clients, answering questions, and demonstrating the use and maintenance of hot tubs and pool systems.
- Water Treatment and Balancing: Assisting with water chemistry testing and applying treatments to maintain water quality and safety.
This role requires a practical, hands-on approach and an ability to work in varied outdoor conditions, including adverse weather. You ll be working outside in gardens, walking between locations, and covering a lot of ground as many installations are done outdoors. The role also involves a lot of driving, so the right candidate must be comfortable with being on the road.
While some technical experience is a bonus, it s not essential. We value a positive attitude, an aptitude for learning, and good practical skills. The role also requires physical fitness, as some heavy lifting is involved.
This position is based at our office and warehouse in Chelmsford. After successful training, a company vehicle will be provided for work use.
Skills Required:
- A full, clean driving license is essential, as the role involves extensive driving.
- Friendly, well-presented, and customer-focused, as this is a customer-facing role.
- Hands-on, practical, and comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions, as many installations are in gardens.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Prior knowledge of pools and/or hot tubs is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Physically fit and capable of assisting with heavy lifting and moving hot tubs and equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage paperwork.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and office staff.
- Excellent practical skills and a knack for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Basic electrical or plumbing knowledge is an advantage but not essential.
