Shift Supervisor required for a reputable water treatment company based in Western Cape
Requirements:
- Matric Certificate with Maths and Science passed.
- 3 years relevant experience supervising staff and maintenance.
- N3 Water&Waste Water Treatment will be an advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel will be advantageous.
- Troubleshoot problems and to develop and improve on procedures
- Must know how to handle chemicals safely, make dilutions and control stock & storage.
- Good numeracy skills and accurate detailed record keeping and producing reports with calculations is required.
- Be medically fit – medical fitness & drug test will be performed before appointment
- General safe use of equipment and tools.
- Provide proof of residing in the nearby community.
- Understand and carry out instructions
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to form productive teams
- Possess a good work ethic i.e. hard-working person
- High perception of health and safety
- Good communication interpersonal skills
Responsibilites:
- Supervision of Washline Attendants and Team Leaders who are required to perform manual labour tasks relating to the process of emptying, washing, disinfecting, drying and chemical filling the PFT’s (portable flush toilets) and containerized toilets to improve the quality of the cleaning process
- Oversee the performance wash line attendants and train, motivate and optimise production rate & quality of outputs.
- Give guidance / direct & control to contractors delivering to and collecting from the FSM facility
- Facilitate and control safety, maintenance and cleaning required internal / by contractors.
- Monitor the quality of the work performed on site by contractor / internal staff.
- Communicate Toolbox talks.
- Monitor and control chemical stocks, make-up of chemical solutions, quality control.
- Assist with HR related issues such as timekeeping, leave forms, HR queries, discipline etc.
- Supervision of housekeeping tasks to achieve FSM’s required standard.
