ACCOUNTANT

Our very successful client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of floorboard products situated in Philiip Industrial has an exciting opportunity to offer a qualified Accountant to join their organisation.
Requirements / Skills & Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification. (preferred not a prerequisite)
- A few years commercial experience particularly in manufacturing - preferable
- Management experience
- Strong proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Knowledge of implementing new systems an advantage
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team.
- Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions based on financial data.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of financial management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly. Preference to Afrikaans speaking candidates.
- High level of Excel knowledge
Role duties:
- Manage the entire function:
- Treasury management (experience in currency transactions and Accelerate)
- Authorisation and review of payments
- Update systems and procedures
- Manage and motivate finance staff
- Liaise with various departments (factory manager and group finance)
- Experience in costing of stock and cost management
- Debtor and creditor management
- Monthly management accounts
- Annual budget and monthly forecasts (all cash accounts)
- Oversee monthly and annual closing processes (including journal entries)
- Manage Fixed Assets and capital budget
- Assist with IT queries and liaise with external service providers
- Knowledge of Syspro an advantage
- Manage payroll and HR functions (Basic HR functions affiliated to SEESA)
