Leading established Tour Operator, based in Durban, are looking for an experienced FITs Leisure Tour Consultant to join their team. Work Remote OR Hybrid.
Planning Individual (FITs) traveler’s holidays.
CRITERIA:
•Matric + Tourism Diploma/Degree/Certificate (Preferable but not essential)
•German – written and spoken – Advantageous.
•Valid work permit or perm SA ID - Essential
•Experience in selling bespoke Southern Africa luxury travel products.
•Passion for travel, Computer literate.
•Vast product knowledge, e.g., Zimbabwe, Namibia, Victoria Falls, Botswana, Mozambique.
•3++ Years working experience - working successfully in DMC environment – FITS. German market.
KPIs:
•Communicate with client to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations, and accommodations required.
•Compute cost of travel and accommodations, using calculator, computer, carrier tariff sheets, and hotel rate sheets, or quote package tour's costs.
•Book transportation and hotel reservations, and any other services required by client, using computer terminal or telephone.
•Plan, describe, arrange, and sell itinerary tour packages and promotional travel incentives offered by various travel carriers.
•Prepare final travel documentation including travel itinerary and vouchers for all services.
Provide customer with travel information, such as local customs, points of interest, or country regulations.
