Our client in Roodepoort is seeking a Female Group Financial Manager to join their team.
Educational and work background:
· BCom Honours in Accounting (minimum requirement).
· Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
· Completed articles
· Fully Qualified Chartered Accountant will be an added advantage
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply principles of accounting to analyse financial information and prepare financial reports for group and all statutory entities.
- Coach the Finance Team (Creditors, Cashbook, HO Debtors, and Accountant) and ensure functional performance. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
- Monitor day to day financial operations and support business in all aspects involving financial issues
- Oversee the general ledger and reconciliations
- Ensure supplier obligations are met per agreed terms
- Review and release of all company payments
- Review and ensure integrity of fixed asset register and tax asset register.
- Prepare all statutory entities and Group Annual Financial Statements.
- Install, modify, document and coordinate implementation of accounting systems and control procedures.
- Prepare tax computations and ensure tax compliance across the group.
- Maintaining company documentation relating to WCA, Tax and Banking.
- Drive the timeline of all BEE requirements and audits through working effectively with BEE consultant/s and various departments
- Manage external audits.
- Review of VAT calculation and submission.
- Prepare balance sheets, cash flow reports, variance analysis, budgets and forecasts
- Prepare Board packs.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly finance KPIs
- Drive digitisation initiatives, integrating financial systems and data to enhance process efficiency and accuracy
- Support CFO in executing deliverables expected from the finance department
- Proficient in JDE and Excel
