The successful candidate will assist the Paint Lab Technician and Technical Lab Technician with sample preparation and required testing, adhering to internal and customer specifications. This position operates on a day shift.
Key Performance Areas:
- Assist with sample preparation for both laboratories.
- Support durability testing in the Technical Lab.
- Help with material testing in the Technical Lab.
- Assist with paint surface testing in the Paint Lab.
- Contribute to routine testing and product audits.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science (or equivalent).
- Laboratory training is advantageous.
Work Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in a factory environment.
- A minimum of 3 years of laboratory testing experience is preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to operate laboratory testing equipment.
- Strong understanding of the sampling process.
- Knowledge of the wheel-making process.
- Ability to interpret test methods.
- Capacity to work under pressure and as part of a team.
- Proactive attitude.
- Honesty, integrity, and good communication skills.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Computer literacy (Excel, Word) is essential.
- A valid drivers license is a plus.
