The Truck workshop department currently has a vacancy for an assertive, hands-on and attentive to detail individual to join their team as a Truck Workshop Team Leader. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Support the Manager with daily planning and work allocation – Assist with delegation of tasks to mechanical staff and draft necessary job cards on Cworks
- Update Cworks on and monitor the repair progress, check Cworks for new job requests and generate and assign jobs to team members
- To oversee the workshop staff on maintenance and preventative maintenance repairs set out by Manager
- Monitor and provide feedback on job progress and inspection on completion of jobs
- Regularly inspecting trailers and planning repairs accordingly
- Assist on breakdowns and major repair jobs
- Inspect major components on our fleet vehicles
- Inspect our vehicles after agent repairs
- COF inspections, planning and taking vehicles for roadworthy test
- Fill out incidents on SHREQ Manager as and when required
- Facilitate Toolbox Talks as and when required
- Carry out planned vehicle inspections as generated by Cworks and plan repairs accordingly
- Attend to and oversee breakdowns, do pre and post repair trailer inspections and to oversee preventative maintenance projects
- Support the Manager in ensuring compliance of timekeeping, productive output, discipline and work program within the department
- Any other tasks, as agreed with the Truck Workshop Manager, suited to this level of leadership
