Purpose of the Job:
Manage and oversee Close Protection, Venue Protection, and Corporate Offices Infrastructure. Implement security policies, regulations, and standards to ensure a safe working environment and maintain security protocols across the company’s locations and events.
Requirements:
- Matric, relevant tertiary, and security qualifications.
- 8–10 years of Corporate or high-profile security management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Close Protection Officer (CPO) with demonstrated history of working with Executives, including international experience in regions like the USA, Africa, the Middle East, and South America.
- Advanced Close Protection Security Management qualification.
- Advanced Security Driving Course.
- Advanced Surveillance and Intelligence gathering course.
- Firearms Competency for Handguns.
- A-Grade PSIRA membership status.
- Valid First Person On Scene Level 4 Certificate.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate.
- Valid Stop the Bleed Certificate.
- Experience with budget preparation and control.
- Experience managing a Control Room and Security Response teams.
- Experience drafting and implementing Security Plans and Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures for corporate buildings, close protection, venue protection, executive residential sites, and external events.
- Coordinate security support for executives’ local and international travel.
- Plan and coordinate security for special and high-risk events.
- Conduct pre- and post-venue, vehicle, and asset inspections.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate security activities to safeguard corporate property, employees, visitors, and high-profile guests.
- Analyse and evaluate security operations to identify risks and areas for improvement.
- Lead and coordinate security teams in responding effectively to security incidents and emergencies.
- Conduct risk assessments and gather intelligence to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Train and mentor security personnel to maintain high levels of proficiency and professionalism.
- Maintain compliance with security regulatory requirements, laws, and standards.
- Manage budgets and resources to support security operations.
- Ensure compliance with industry security requirements, firearm controls, fitness assessments, and company policies.
- Oversee access control and surveillance at corporate offices.
- Provide close protection services, either serving as the principal's primary bodyguard or as part of a team.
- Conduct perimeter security and counter-surveillance at events and venues.
- Execute advance security planning, including venue security and emergency route planning.
