Job Summary: To provide strategic leadership vision and direction to the Division of Electrical and Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver on live electrical work, electrification of lines, minor and major reticulations, building transmission lines and substations.
- Focus on revenue and profitability growth achieved through:
- Developing new business opportunities.
- Business growth.
- Building efficient and effective business processes and systems.
- Managing people and performance.
- Creating a company culture-driven division.
- Building business performance and accountability.
- Client relationship management.
- Manage compliance and risk within the division and in projects.
Building Business Development and Growth:
- Identify new business and business development networking opportunities within the industry.
- Establish and support the process of strategic partnerships to enable competitive market offerings.
Managing Risk Compliance:
- Oversight on quality control processes for new business tenders submitted.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of division projects in compliance with all health, safety and environmental standards and policies.
- Provide oversight on risk and governance for division processes and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to company policies in the utilization of company-owned or leased assets.
Managing Business Performance and Accountability:
- Lead decisions in project management processes.
- Work with the National Projects Manager to ensure project operating models are developed and implemented across the division.
- Oversee divisional budgets, cost management, and capital funding in conjunction with finance and administration department.
Manage People and Accountability Culture:
- Appoint capable managers, technical teams, and project leads to manage and coordinate their functions.
- Ensure the implementation of an effective people performance management system within the division.
- Ensure divisional compliance with overall company people management policies and procedures.
- Cultivate ways of work aligned to values through role modeling and team culture development.
- Develop and implement an effective people capability development plan across the division.
Client Relationship Management:
- Oversee client engagement plans to ensure ongoing client expectations and standards are consistently met.
- Establish and support strategic client relations development with existing clients to further cross-sell value propositions.
- Develop and support client appreciation programs to sustain and grow client relations.
- Develop a structure to manage timely resolution of all client queries and complaints for the division.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Post graduate NQF 8.
- 10 years of experience in a similar environment at senior management level.
- Business development experience.
- Live electrical work experience.
- Electrification of lines experience.
- Minor and major reticulations experience.
- Building transmission lines and substations experience.
