Job Description:
The primary component of this role is to supervise a team of cleaners to ensure effective cleaning and practice good housekeeping on a daily basis. To ensure that work is performed in accordance with the framework of existing scheduled.
Task and Responsibilities:
Reports to: National Cleaning Manager
ROLE OUTPUT
- Ensure availability of resources for the shift, including employees, PPE, equipment, to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.
- Set cleaning schedule and monitor cleaning operations in line with client and company requirements.
- Ensure reduction of expenses and increase productivity by ensuring employees adhere to process and start and finish work as scheduled.
- Oversee timeous completion of Work Orders according to priority levels.
- Inspect the quality of cleaning, equipment and all other project resources and provide feedback regularly.
- Monitor the conduct of subordinates in line with company and client code of conduct.
- Initiate appropriate corrective action for all misconducts.
- Prepare Payroll data ensuring accuracy and submit it in time to Payroll.
- Monitor the sites inventory and order adequate supplies from office in time.
- Conduct daily Task Risk Assessments.
- Other ad-hoc functions.
- Ensure employees in the shift are inducted, trained in Standard Operating Procedures, and adhere to health and safety practices and policy.
- Conduct shift meetings and Toolbox Talks, and Safety briefings at the start of the shift.
- Communicate shift targets to employees and ensure achievement.
- Provide motivation, support, training, and guidance to your shift.
- Communicate any problems or obstacles to National Cleaning Manager.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures to enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety, integrity, and client standards.
- Ensure that processes run reliably and efficiently by planning and organizing schedules, assessing projects and resource requirements.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and serviced accordingly.
- Determine and ensure adherence to strict safety standards.
- Ensure that all certifications and competencies are in place and updated regularly, as, and when required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- N6 National certificate in any Technical Trade.
- Any post Matric qualification in Supervisory Management would be advantageous.
- 3 years Supervisory cleaning experience.
- Competency in MS Office packages (i.e., Excel, Word & Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Previous experience in a high-pressured cleaning environment.
- Previous experience of managing a team.
- The ability to implement and adhere to standards and procedures.
- Health and Safety experience.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Solid supervisory experience and skills, ability to prioritize and motivate team members.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid drivers’ license.
- Medical fitness certificate.

Pay: R13000,00 per month
